Information you voluntarily submit
When you use our contact or onboarding forms, you may provide name, email, phone, business name, business type, city, website status, timeline, interest, referral information, message, and related project details. We use this to reply, schedule calls, deliver services, and operate your project if you become a client.
Technical information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting environment and browsers exchange technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and timestamps. Some of this is processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the site.
Form processing (Make.com)
Our public contact and onboarding forms submit to Make.com webhooks so we can receive and route inquiries. Those requests are sent only after you deliberately submit a form. Make.com acts as a form-processing / automation service provider for that purpose.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a consent banner so optional technologies do not load until you choose them. Categories:
- Necessary — Required for basic site operation and form submission. Always on. Includes the consent preference record stored in first-party localStorage.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-F4BWE02PK2). Loads only after Analytics consent. Used to understand site traffic and improve pages. Not loaded inside the CRM or client project sites covered by this policy update. - Marketing — Controls first-party referral attribution cookie
bshq_refand related localStorage (including Growth Network referrer UI statebshq_gn_referrerwhen used for partner selection). Off by default. This category may also control future advertising or remarketing technologies if we add them; we do not currently run Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, or similar advertising pixels on this site. - Functional — Optional embeds such as YouTube videos. Videos are blocked until Functional consent; after consent we load embeds from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (
youtube-nocookie.com) where practical.
Fonts are self-hosted on our domain. We do not request fonts from Google Fonts. QR code generation on partner pages uses a self-hosted library (no jsDelivr request).
Consent choices are stored in a first-party record (policy version, timestamp, categories, random consent ID). That record expires after 180 days, after which we ask again. We may also ask again when the consent policy version changes. Global Privacy Control (GPC), when detected, keeps Marketing off.
You can reopen choices anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, deliver and support client work (website design, branding, Google Business setup, lead systems, automations), improve the website when Analytics is enabled, attribute partner referrals when Marketing is enabled, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Service providers
Depending on how you use the site and which consents you grant, information may be processed by:
- Website hosting (SiteGround)
- Make.com (form intake / automations)
- Google Analytics (only with Analytics consent)
- YouTube / Google (only when Functional content is enabled and a video is loaded)
- Tools we use to deliver client work (for example Google Workspace email, Google Sheets, or similar), when you are a client
We do not sell personal information. Sharing with providers is limited to operating the site and delivering requested services.
Retention
We keep inquiry and client records as long as needed to serve you and meet legal or business record-keeping needs. Analytics data follows Google Analytics retention settings when Analytics is enabled. Consent records expire after 180 days unless renewed.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children’s privacy
This site is directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party sites (for example Facebook or partner websites). Their privacy practices are their own.
Your privacy choices
- Use Accept All, Reject Nonessential, or Manage Preferences on the consent banner.
- Open Cookie Settings anytime to change categories.
- Withdrawing Analytics or Marketing consent stops future optional tracking where technically possible and clears optional first-party storage we control (such as referral cookies). A page reload may be required for Analytics withdrawal to fully take effect.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold by emailing info@bigskyhq.com or calling 406-781-2306, subject to applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or technologies change. The effective / last-updated date at the top reflects the current version. Material tracking changes also update our consent policy version so visitors can review choices again.
